APTMA member mills to stay closed on Aug-11

The Chairman of the All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA), Mr Tariq Mehmood has announced that its member mills will shut down for one day on August 11, 2009.
The strike has been called in protest against the utter lawlessness prevailing in the country. Other zonal associations in Karachi and NFWP including the leather associations have supported the move.
The APTMA has warned the government that if the current state of affairs were allowed to continue, foreign investment would dry up and also lead to deterioration of the industrial sector.
