Production at over 25 clothing manufacturing factories has been disrupted since the last two days in areas on the out skirts of Dhaka city.

Workers set afire to some property of some garment units to protest against non-fulfillment of their demands to raise wages and give bonus.

Industry people are blaming some vested interest and the garment waste collectors for inciting the violence in the apparel manufacturing sector.

In fact at a roundtable conference, the Industry Minister had sounded a note of warning to the people who were creating unrest and bringing disrepute to the sector.

A few big garment manufacturing units have also been caught in the crossfire of the violence of the workers unrest.
