Filament yarn production up in June

China's production of nylon filament reached 8,300 tons in June, a slight increase of 1.22 percent from the previous month, but down 700 tons or 7.77 percent year-on-year.

June sales were about 7,900 tons, a slight decrease of 0.12 percent from the previous month, and up by about 1,000 tons or 11.23 percent year-on-year.

June stocks were about 9,900 tons, a slight increase of 3.12 percent from the previous month, but down nearly 1,600 tons, or 13.91 percent year-on-year.

According to a sample survey conducted by the China Textile Circulation Association, cumulative production of nylon fibers in the first half was about 43,900 tons, down nearly 6,000 tons or 12.02 percent year-on-year.

Cumulative sales were about 44,700 tons, down nearly 4,200 tons, or 8.58 percent year-on-year. June nylon fiber prices rose marginally.

DTY price increased from 21,300 Yuan per ton at the beginning of the month to 22,000 Yuan per ton, up 3.28 percent.

FDY price rose from 18,700 Yuan per ton at the beginning of the month to 20,400 Yuan per ton, up 9.09 percent.
