Ethylene prices move northwards in all global markets

Ethylene prices for CFR Northeast Asia, which had been able to free itself from the bearish trends on the previous Wednesday, continued to grow on August 26, but grew marginally by just US $3 per ton when compared with prices prevailing on last Wednesday.
Prices in CFR Northeast Asia grew from $949-951 per metric ton to $954-956 per metric ton on August 26. CFR Southeast prices too followed the trend set by CFR Northeast Asia and climbed the ladder to rise from $1049-1051 per metric ton to $1055-1057 per metric ton.
Ethylene prices in the FD Northwest Europe and CIF Northwest Europe, which had stayed steady for three consecutive weeks, moved out from its slumber and shifted from €770-775 per metric ton and $890-900 per metric ton, to €810-815 per metric ton and $910-920 per metric ton, respectively on August 26.
Prices of ethylene in the US markets too continued to move in the northwards direction for the fifth consecutive week and moved from US cent 26.880-27.130 per pound on Aug 12 to US cent 27.88-28.13 per pound, yesterday.
