PET/PA composite filament prices in Shengze market dull

In the just concluded week, polyester/nylon (PET/PA) composite filament prices in Shengze market looked dull and market volume was barely steady.
Prices of DTY 160D / 72F × 16 PET / PA composite filament maintained at 16,600 Yuan / ton; DTY90D/75F × 16 PET / PA composite filament stood at 22,100 Yuan/ ton and DTY75D/36F × 16 PET/ PA composite filament touched 22,700 Yuan/ ton.
From an analysis of the sales trends, delivery volumes were small. Demand for DTY160D/72F × 16 PET / PA composite filament was fair, as it is mainly used in production of polyester and nylon peach fabrics on water jet looms.
PET/PA composite filament market was weak mainly due to decline of polyester raw material in upper reaches, as prices of polyester chips dropped.
In addition, sales of related fabrics in downstream market were tepid for fabrics made of polyamide cotton and corduroy fabrics made from polyester and nylon.
PET/PA composite filament market is expected to continue a weak consolidation in the short term.
