'Treat us at par with garments' – Leather sector

Mr. Fawad Ijaz Khan, Chairman of the Pakistan Leather Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PLGMEA) seeks leather garments industry to be treated at par with textile garments industry.
According to Mr. Khan, both textile and leather garments are similar in respect of their main production and operations. Also, the problems and constraints of both the garments are same and are sold mostly in the same departmental stores.
In most of the cases, both types of garments have almost same class of buyers, he added.
