Buyers for China continued to be very dominant followed by those buying for India with limited demand from buyers for Europe.

Sales will be held in Sydney, Melbourne and Fremantle next week, when 44,036 bales are currently rostered for sale. Present estimates for the following two sales (weeks 13 and 14) are 48,490 and 49,900 bales, respectively; a decrease of 5.4% over the three sale period when compared with last year.

The New Zealand Merino Company is rostered to offer 3,200 bales in Melbourne in Week 13.

In South African sales, where 7,510 bales were on offer, the Cape Wools Indicator was down by 1.5% since last week against a 4.2% appreciation of the Rand against the US Dollar and a 2.3% appreciation against the Euro.
