Handicraft Expo to mark Gandhi Jayanti

An all India handicrafts exhibition, 'The Gandhi Shilp Bazar' to mark Gandhi Jayanti celebrations have been organized in Mysore by the office of the Development Commissioner of Handicrafts, Ministry of Textiles and Sahara Handicrafts and Handloom Association.

The exhibition which opened on October 2 is a platform for the artisans across the country to get linked directly with the art lovers and understand their needs, interests and tests, in order to create appropriate designs for them.

This 10-day expo is showcasing the creations of above 150 artisans including varieties of paintings, accessories, clothes, decorative items, stone carvings, bronze items, terracotta products.
