New leading trade fair Texprocess
In the area of the manufacture of garments and the manufacture of other textile materials, the VDMA will be present at the new leading Texprocess trade fair in Frankfurt in May 2011. "Texprocess gives us the urgently needed new market platform for exhibitors and customers working in the garment industry and the manufacture of technical textiles. Here Europe plans to, and will, pave the way forward. The Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH trade fair offers outstanding textile expertise and internationality, which makes it just the right partner," says Straub. "We're creating a unique win-win situation that will save everyone's money and also provides new opportunities."
Board appointments
The members of the Garment and Leather Technology Association approved the appointment of Dr. Andreas Seidl with an overwhelming majority. Dr. Seidl is managing director of Human Solutions GmbH in Kaiserslautern and since summer 2009 a managing director of assyst GmbH in Ascheim-Dornach. Human Solutions GmbH offers solutions for body scanning, ergonomics simulations and body dimension data. Assyst GmbH develops integrated CAD and PLM solutions for the garment and interior industries.
CEO is Tilo Ullmer, owner and Managing Director of PMF GmbH in Schweix and of FORTUNA Spezialmaschinen GmbH in Weil der Stadt. Other board members include: Dietrich Eickhoff, Head of Sales and Marketing, DÜRKOPP ADLER AG in Bielefeld, Thomas Christiansen, Managing Director, Theo Krebs AG in Sulgen, Switzerland, Klaus Freese, Sales Director and authorised signatory at Klöckner Desma Schuhmaschinen GmbH in Achim, Bodo Friederich, Head of Marketing and Sales, GROZ-BECKERT KG in Albstadt, Engelbert Heinz, Managing Director, Herbert Kannegiesser GmbH & Co. in Vlotho, Jörg Lehnen, Managing Director, Ferd.
