Asian benzene markets move up marginally

International crude oil prices declined on Wednesday, which also resulted in a quiet sentiment in China's domestic benzene markets. Guangzhou Petrochemical and Maoming Petrochemical branches of Sinopec raised benzene price by 200 Yuan per ton to 6,800 Yuan per ton.
Asian benzene closed at US $915-916 per ton (FOB Korea) on November 24, $1 slightly higher than the previous session.
Market prices in East China ranged in between 6,900-6,900 Yuan per ton. Prices in South China marked 6,800-6,850 Yuan per ton and that of in North China stayed at 6,650-6,700 Yuan per ton.
Factors and market trends which influenced the market include, Crude oil prices have fallen sharply, though it had a limited impact on domestic Benzene market and combined with slight rise in overseas offers, some companies made small gains in prices.
