Denim by Première Vision will be moving. Like the jeans community itself, famously nomadic and continually evolving, the 100% denim show is changing location.

For its 6th edition, held next 2 and 3 June 2010, Denim by Première Vision will be leaving the Docks de Paris Saint-Denis, where it has been held since its inception, and moving to the Halle Freyssinet. This former railway engine repair shop is situated in the very heart of Paris, in a neighbourhood in the 13th arrondissement undergoing profound change, featuring a mix of historical buildings and futuristic projects.

Built facing the Bercy Village and Paris's famed Bibliothèque Nationale, the Halle Freyssinet is an early 20th century masterpiece of industrial architecture, offering spectacular volumes bathed in light. The singularity of this unusual setting, with its period style, has caught the eye of the city's foremost fashion designers, who have been holding their catwalk shows here for the past two seasons. Denim by Première Vision will take over a 7,000 square meter space, and will be one of the very first trade shows to be held in its halls.

The new space makes it possible to gather all the players in the denim sector under one roof, so as to play on synergies and boost that particular energy driving Denim by Première Vision. in this “raw” and authentic surrounding, with its mix of metal, glass and concrete, the jeanswear community will find a setting perfectly in keeping with their codes and the spirit of their creations. All this to be discovered next spring, for the autumn winter 2011-2012 denim collections.

Meantime, and returning to a future of a closer sort: jeans makers will be getting together next week (2 and 3 December 2009), for the 5th edition of Denim by Première Vision, the last edition to be held at the Docks. With a special “Tribute to Japan” keynote, it will showcase denim collections for spring summer 2011.
