The Chinese apparel sector has been hassled by the rising trend of product recalls by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). In one more case of recall, CPSC and Warm Biscuit Bedding Company, announced voluntary recall on children's house wear made in China and the United States.
The recall involves three kinds of themes, they are namely "Lounge-Around-the-Housewear", "Lounge-About-Housewear" or "Shortsets", the clothing has various styles, colors and patterns, their specifications are S (1 -2 years old), M (2-3 years old), L (3-4 years old), XL (4-5 years old), 6-year-old, 7 years and 8 years old.
The children's housewear were sold through catalog or website of Warm Biscuit Bedding Company at between $39-45 per set in the United States from January 2000-March 2009.
The number of the recalled products is about 9,500 sets. Reason of the recall is that the garment does not meet federal standards of flame-retardant for children's pajamas.
Up to now, Warm Biscuit Bedding Company has not received any reports of incidents.
To this end, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission advises consumers to immediately keep children away from the recalled clothing, and contact the Warm Biscuit Bedding Company or store from which they bought the goods to obtain refunds.
