The YMA Fashion Scholarship Fund, the premier nonprofit scholarship fund dedicated to investing in the future of fashion, is proud to host the annual 2009 FSF Roundtable taking place on Thursday, 10 December 2009 at 5:00PM at The Times Center in the New York Times tower located at 242 W 41st Street.

This year's event will revolve around the theme: "Redesigning the Rules of Fashion in Today's Media." The panel will be moderated by Style Expert and Fashion Commentator Mary Alice Stephenson, and will feature fashion industry & media notables including: Stuart Elliott (Advertising Columnist, The New York Times), Brian Reyes (Fashion Designer), Annabel Tollman (Celebrity Stylist & Creative Fashion Consultant), Alex Gonzalez (Co-Founder/Executive Creative Director, AR New York), Dani Stahl (Style Director, Nylon Magazine), Patrick McMullan (CEO/President, The Patrick McMullan Company), and Abe Gurko (Founder, IMeanWhat.com & CEO, Abe NYC, Inc.).

Students from participating colleges (LIM, Parsons, FIT, etc.) are invited to attend this free, educational event and are encouraged to participate in a spirited discussion with this year's esteemed panel. This year's theme will ask panelists to discuss issues that concern them today, and explore how designers, brands and media outlets themselves are using new tools, like social networking, blogging and other interactive platforms to reach today's tech-educated consumer.

The 2009 FSF Roundtable is a precursor to the highly anticipated 2010 FSF Geoffrey Beene Fashion Scholarship Awards Dinner, which will be held on January 13th, 2010 at Cipriani 42nd Street. This event is the FSF's principal fundraiser held annually, with 100% of net proceeds going directly to FSF programs.

The dinner gala will formally celebrate 110 FSF scholars and the 2010 FSF Honorees--Margarita Arriagada (Senior Vice President of Merchandising at Sephora), Thomas A. Kingsbury (President & CEO of Burlington Coat Factory) and Robert L. Mettler (former Chairman & CEO Macy's West, receiving the FSF's 2nd ever Lifetime Achievement Award)--for their contributions to the industry.

LIM College is an official sponsor of the 2009 FSF Roundtable.
