In the Central-African and landlocked country; Chad, a new textile mill was recently inaugurated, thanks to a credit line provided by the Government of India.
The textile mill was officially thrown open by the President of Chad in the presence of the Indian ambassador to Chad. India has extended US $25 million for setting up the mill.
This mill is expected to provide employment to hundreds of local citizens and is projected to also help in the economic growth of the region.
Chad is rich in gold and uranium and became an oil-producing nation six years ago with the completion of a $4 billion pipeline linking oilfields to terminals on the Atlantic coast.
