OMNOVA announces price increases in textile chemicals

OMNOVA Solutions' Textile Chemicals business announced a price increase of up to $0.05 per wet pound for acrylic, styrene acrylic, vinyl acrylic, and vinyl acetate emulsion polymers. Also announced are price increases of up to $0.03 per wet pound for Permafresh resins.
These increases are effective January 21, 2010 for all textile markets. This announcement is necessitated by the escalation in the costs of key raw materials including acrylic monomers, styrene and glyoxal.
