Survey reveals optimism in textile sector

The sentiment index of the textile industry in the fourth quarter of 2009 released on January 29 by the Chinese Business Climate Index Research Center, stood at 95.8 points (standard economy sentiment is 100 points).
Sentiment index of garment manufacturing industry was 98.3 points, 0.3 points higher than the previous quarter and index of chemical fiber industry was 97.5 points, up 0.6 points from the previous quarter.
As the economic situation picks up, the textile industry seems to be steadily recovering from the impact of the downturn, due to which a number of statistical indicators have shown positive changes.
