Technical textiles pavilion to make its debut in Knit Tex

Knit Tex 2010 is the 4th international biennial technology tradeshow for the Indian knitwear industry. It is scheduled during March 5 - 8, 2010 at Hotel Velan Fair Grounds, Tirupur, India. The 4th edition comes with additional display for the benefit of visitors. On display will be knitting, dyeing, compacting, laundry, sewing, embroidery, finishing, fabrics, CAD/CAM/ITES, Accessories, Pre-Owned Machines, Technical Textiles, Job-working Services and everything related to knitwear industry. Nearly 120 companies with machinery and technology from over 22 countries spread over 200 booths will be displaying at Knit Tex 2010.

“ Last two years have been traumatic for the Knitwear Industry in Tirupur which has been plagued by various issues like global recession, hike in raw material prices, dearth of labour, idle capacity, low investments into machinery, problems faced by the dyers etc., Recent months has seen the situation change for the better which is reflected by the participation at the current edition of Knit Tex 2010.

The vibrancy of the knitwear sector will evident in the current edition. It will be a new experience for the visitors as the dynamics of the trade has changed for ever post global recession.” Said Nanda Gopal K, Managing Director of Vision Trade & Exhibitions, organizers of the event.

Knit Tex is acknowledged as the preferred platform for the knitting and allied machinery sector to showcase their products and technology not only to the knitwear industry in Tirupur but also to the nearby production clusters like Karur, Coimbatore, Erode, Salem, Bangalore Hyderabad and Chennai etc., Last edition held in February 2008 attracted nearly 20,000 business visitors over 4 days.

“In the forthcoming edition, based on the feedback and extensive research carried out by us, we have decided to expand the scope of participation beyond only < machinery > hence new verticals are being added to the event to make it more useful for the industry. The new verticals are and ” Explained Nanda Gopal K.

Machinery
Even in the machinery segment scope of participation is being extended to include technology, products and machinery related to Technical Textiles and Non-Wovens besides Knitting, Dyeing, Compacting, Sewing, Finishing, Laundry, CAD/CAM, IT Solutions etc.,

Seminar
The concurrent international Seminar Series is a platform of information dissemination to all the stakeholders of the production clusters on new methods, technology, techniques, products, incentives, subsidies, studies etc., Experts from India and overseas will speak on a variety of topics ranging from production to marketing in an effort to bring in contemporary perspectives helping the industry to grow and benchmark itself to the best in business.

Sourcing
Given the large number of foot falls attracted by the event, a special focus will given towards accommodating several fabrics & accessories suppliers to benefit the visitors.
