A MEG production line operated by the Taiwan based Nan Ya Plastics has been restarted after a hiatus of 51/2 months, which has been closed down, due to a maintenance turnaround.
Official sources from Nan Ya Plastics informed Fibre2fashion that, MEG production line No-2 which had been shut down at the beginning of September 2009, has been re-started in mid-February.
Nan Ya Plastics has four MEG production lines in Mailiao, each with an output of 300,000 tons per annum of MEG. The plant had been re-scheduled for re-starting in January, but had been put off due to recurring technical issues.
