Baydemirler to expand store network

A Turkish textile company and owner of the Brillant store chain, 'Baydemirler' intends to expand its presence by setting up 40 new Brillant shops in 2010, informed the Chief Executive of Baydemirler, Mr. Erdogan Baydemir.
The company has already achieved around 25 percent of its yearly target in the month of January this year, will now focus on new marketing strategies in the ongoing year, he added.
It will also introduce a top-of-the-line store housing home-textiles. An interior designer will be present in each Brillant shop to assist shoppers and all the 'Brillant Exclusive' will be spread out in an area of 400 Sq. m., he informed.
He further said that four different collections for home-textiles have been launched by Brillant, which has undertaken research and development with a team of 150 people and has invested around $6 million for the same. This research and development helped the company to increase its product range.
The company holds around 55 percent of Turkey's home-textile market as well as 202 local shops and one international store. Now, its focus is to grow the number of its international stores. It intends to set up 15 new stores in the Balkans, Russia and the Middle East.
Brillant products have been shipped to around 60 countries, including, Germany, Italy, Russia, Poland, the United States, Japan, Iran and Algeria. Baydemirler targets to augment its exports by $60 million in 2010, while its three-year exports amounted at $150 million, pointed Mr. Baydemir.
