Tunisian companies flock to Workwear Show

April 2010 will see Monastir come to the Midlands and Kasserine to Coventry as CEPEX, the Tunisian trade promotion organisation brings a delegation of up to seven companies to exhibit at the Workwear and Corporate Clothing Show.
The show is the UK's flagship event in the workwear and corporate clothing sector, representing a market worth around £453 million a year. One in three UK workers can expect to wear some form of job related clothing.
Amongst the hand-picked Tunisian export contingent will be specialists in sub contracting, comanufacturing and finished garment producers with expertise in workwear, safety and security clothing, healthcare clothing, spa and wellbeing clothing, technical items, uniforms, sportswear and promotional wear.
Asked why the CEPEX chose the Workwear and Corporate Clothing Show as the showcase for Tunisian garment manufacturers, Sélima Hachich explained, “Like all trade promotion organisations, CEPEX has a limited budget, so we look for trade shows which will give the participating companies the best return for investment. The Workwear and Corporate Clothing Show 2010 gives us access to not only the most important UK companies, but also companies from throughout Europe. Despite just being in its third year in 2010, it has rapidly become the essential work related clothing show in the UK. We can see the whole breadth and depth of the supply chain in one venue.”
“We also hope to promote Tunisia as a production base for textiles and clothing in general, but workwear in particular, and to highlight the many investment incentives we can offer to those coming into the country, Hachich continued, concluding, “As a manufacturing base, Tunisia can offer a number of advantages to UK and European manufacturers. Tunisia is close to Europe and offers competitive production costs coupled with experienced personnel and rapid production facilities while producing high quality garments.”
Co-founder of the show, Yvette Ashby responded, “Everyone at the Workwear and Corporate Clothing Show is delighted to welcome such a large contingent of companies from Tunisia to the exhibition. The show attracts exhibitors and visitors from all over Europe and a lot of business gets done in a few days.”
The Workwear and Corporate Clothing Show 2010 will be held on April 13th and 14th at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.
