Welspun bags five Texprocil awards

Welspun India Ltd, the Gujarat based company won the 'Special Gold' award amongst five other awards in the category 'Highest Global Exports' from the Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council (Texprocil).
In 2008-09, exports from Welspun touched Rs 43.68 billion. Other then the highest export award, Welspun also bagged the Gold Trophy for 'Special Achievement' and Silver Trophy for 'Second Highest Exports - Terry Towels'.
It also won the Silver Trophy for 'Second Highest Exports - Bed Linen/ Bed sheets' and the Bronze Trophy for 'Third Highest Exports - Other Madeups (Rugs)'. These awards were won at a Texprocil function held recently in Chennai.
