An attractive supporting programme and a wide range of exhibitors with interesting collections all contribute to a successful visit to the fair. Numerous services for exhibitors, visitors and the media round off the quality experience at GDS.

“Satisfied exhibitors and visitors are what we aim for in our work. We know that good service is key to a successful event,” comments GDS Director Kirstin Deutelmoser explaining the background of the comprehensive service range at the two fairs. “Ultimately part of this is taking the requests and ideas of our exhibitors and visitors very seriously.”

Online ServicesGDS online services, in particular, are a key cornerstone of the fair's service range. A comprehensive range of services and information is available to visitors for prefect preparation for the fair. Every registered trade visitor receives a Check-In card. This allows them to use the online advance ticket sales option at www.gds-online.com/tickets_1, have tickets sent to them or purchase tickets at the ticket office on the day on presentation of this Check-In card. This means separate registration is no longer necessary on site thereby saving visitors time in long queues.

GDS' MyServices offers visitors a range of personal online aids to simplify preparations for their visit to the trade fair in Düsseldorf. These include features like MyOrganizer, a personal notebook, and MyKatalog for compiling your own individual catalogue. At http://mobile.gds-online.com the following mobile services featuring a wide range of functions are available to visitors with webenabled mobile phones or PDAs:
- Searches for exhibitions and collections
- Map of the exhibition centre
- MyOrganizer
- Basic information on GDS
- Exhibitor database for download

In addition to trend information, an overview of the accompanying supporting programme and current sectoral news the website has additional information on the themed worlds at GDS, a comprehensive exhibitor and product database with a search function and an interactive hall layout plan all ready for visitors. Exhibitors present themselves in the Exhibitor Showrooms with photos, collection descriptions and company profiles. In the Media Centre GDS shows its visitors impressions of trade fair activities in the form of pictures, photo galleries and video clips. Here users can be inspired and watch fashion shows, interviews and impressions of the fair.

The GDS Newsletter provides facts and figures on the forthcoming trade fair plus information on key lectures and seminars.
