MEG plants of Maruzeni to go off-stream

Maruzeni Petrochemical Corp runs two MEG plants, one in Yokkaichi and the other in Chiba. Both the plants are expected to be taken off-stream for a turnaround consecutively in the months of March and May, 2010, respectively.

Official sources at Maruzeni revealed to Fibre2fashion that, the 82,000 tons per annum MEG plant at Yokkaichi will undergo turnaround from March 15 for a period of 30 days.

The 115,000 tons per year, MEG plant at Chiba will also be taken off-stream towards end of May, also for 30 days. He added by saying that, currently both the plants are running at full capacity rates.
