Colour Connections & SDC to share dyehouse best practice with dyers

Indian dyers, garment makers and retail brands have been given the opportunity to attend three technical seminars that will showcase best practice advice from a number of global experts.

Colour Connections Textile Consultancy have been running Eco-efficiency initiatives with dyehouses in Tirupur for the past 12 months and the seminars will share the outcomes of the project in addition to sharing the know-how and products of leading dye, chemical and machinery companies.

The project, funded by the UK government, was supported by the Indian government and three major UK brands, Marks and Spencer, Tesco and Next.

Phil Patterson, Managing Director of Colour Connections commented “The eco-efficiency project has shown that even very high calibre dyehouses can reduce their costs and environmental impacts by as much as 50% by improving quality systems, efficiency and by judicious investment. It is important for the wider to understand what is possible and how it is done and we are delighted to have the opportunity to share the information with the wider industry.”

The series of seminars are being run by Colour Connections and the Society of Dyers and Colourists who are the leading provider of technical education and training. They will be sponsored by major international dye and chemical suppliers DyStar and Hunstman who will also be delivering expert advice.

The three seminars will be held on consecutive days in three different regions:
- 24th March Angel Hotel - Tirupur
- 25th March Textiles Committee Auditorium, Prabhadevi, Mumbai
- 26th March Hotel Shree Ram International, Jodhpur
