PTA imports fall but prices rise in Feb

China's PTA imports reached 372,000 tons in February 2010, down 20.38 percent from the previous month, but up by 10.11 percent compared to the same period in 2009.
The value of PTA imports in February stood at US $354.30 million. In the first two months of 2010, volume of PTA imports touched 839,200 tons and the value reached $794.94 million.
The average price in February was US $952.49 per ton, up by $9.49, when compared with the average price of US $943 in January.
It is can be seen from the above data that, China's PTA import volume fell in February from that in January, however the import price increased.
