Oxeon is proud to inform that its co-founder and inventor Dr. Nandan Khokar has been made a Fellow of The Textile Institute,UK. This prestigious membership is very humbling and worthy recognition of Dr. Khokar's work and the advances that his inventions have brought to the field of textile technology.
Dr. Nandan Khokar is internationally recognised for pioneering the tape-weaving, 3D-weaving and noobing processes and as an expert in the field of weaving technology and 3D fabrics. His ground breaking innovations during doctoral work at Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden, and enterprising spirit have so far lead to the establishment of Oxeon (tape-weaving) and Biteam (3D-weaving).
Dr. Khokar, who has been recently appointed Professor of Textile Technology at the Institution of Textiles, University of Borås, Sweden, shall continue his association with Oxeon that he co-founded in 2003 with his innovative tape-weaving technology.
Oxeon, which is now the market leader for ultra lightweight spread tow carbon reinforcements, values Dr. Khokar's contributions. These high-performance reinforcement materials, which are marketed as TeXtreme fabrics and TeXero UD tapes, are used for manufacturing advanced aerospace, automotive, racing and sports products.
