Martin to discuss about web handling at Idea 2010

Martin Automatic will be exhibiting at Idea 2010, to be held in Miami Beach, Florida from April 27-29. Martin Automatic Inc's booth number is 818. Visitors are invited to stop by and discuss how non-stop roll changing and web handling technology from Martin can improve their productivity and learn how Martin has developed technology that will perform automatic roll changes at 3000 fpm (914 mpm).

In today's economy, notes Mike Jelinsky, Sales Engineer for Martin "The continued emphasis in nonwovens converting and production is to increase throughput by increasing process speeds. At the same time, material basis weights and a web's load-bearing capability continue to decrease. These lighter material structures can only run successfully at lower web tension levels.

The opposing trends of lower tensions and higher speeds present real challenges for splicing and web handling."
