According to Korea Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI), an apex South Korean trade body, exports of semiconductors, machinery, textiles and electronics will see a sharp increase in the second quarter.
KCCI says that, shipments of machinery and textile in the second quarter will grow by 18.2 percent and 15.2 percent, respectively, from a year earlier to $8.2 billion and $3.5 billion.
With regards to textiles, KCCI is of the opinion that, fast economic growth in China and the rapid economic recovery other emerging countries, will boost exports of Korean textiles.
