Current textile export trends portray good days ahead

China Textile Trade Union Association recently pointed out, that the textile industry has shown a good trend amid steady rise in 2010. Textile enterprises of above-designated-size (turnover of five million Yuan and above) achieved a total industrial output value of 3.79 trillion Yuan in 2009.
This means a growth of 10.3 percent year on year. Industrial value of sales reached 3.71 trillion Yuan, up 10.58 percent year on year. It is reported that added value of textile sector grew by 13.4 percent in the first two months of 2010 and February export figures turned out to be higher than expectations.
In February, China's exports of textile and garment amounted to $12.638 billion, realizing a positive growth in three consecutive months. Exports growth of textiles and clothing registered 10.58 percent and 10.02 percent, respectively.
