SANITIZED AG is excited about this new partnership with such a universally recognized customer. Besides the competence in the area of odor prevention and first class references, the bluesign certification was of vital importance to The North Face in choosing Sanitized Silver.
As a bluesign member, The North Face and bluesign work together to strongly evaluate and improve the product supply chain, beginning at the chemical level of their materials. Dedicated to the understanding and improvement of the product manufacturing process, as a bluesign member, The North Face and bluesign work closely with mills and fabric suppliers to evaluate and improve upon the chemical make-up of materials at the very beginning of the product development process. In addition, bluesign provides high standards for managing environmental, health, and safety (EHS) at the mills and throughout the supply chain.
The first line of TNF articles treated with Sanitized Silver was launched at the Outdoor Retailer Show in January 2010 in Salt Lake City, USA. Consumers can identify Sanitized treated TNF articles at the POS by the “Sanitized - More than clean” label including the bluesign approved reference.
The global coordination for the realization of the requested prevention of odors and Moisture Management effects was controlled by the internationally active SANITIZED partner Clariant. This included extensive and comprehensive laboratory testing during the entire project duration and simultaneous on-site assistance in various production plants worldwide.
