Textile Asia 2010 generates $30 million business

The seventh Textile Asia 2010, International Textile and Garment Machinery Show that concluded successfully recently, offered satisfactory business to all its exhibitors who showcased their products at the show.

According to the Textile Federal Advisor, Dr Mirza Ikhtiar Baig, “Many Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) has been signed during this three-day exhibition, which witnessed an overall trade of approximately US $30 million.”

Around 212 foreign delegates and over 38,465 trade and corporate visitors visited the show, that witnessed participation of more than 100 exhibitors from over 37 countries such as India, Singapore, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, Korea, Turkey, Thailand, Indonesia, Sweden, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, United States of America, Ukraine and Belgium.

Several revolutionary technologies from more than 349 textile and garment machinery manufacturers were presented during the event, informed Dr Baig. Further more, he also praised the efforts taken by Ecommerce Gateway for their contribution in developing Pakistani textile industry with novel technologies and associating famous machinery manufacturers with the country's market.

Purchase of machineries worth millions of dollars by Pakistani investors and the over whelming response from buyers across the country, during the three-day event is a proof of the exhibition's success, said Dr Baig.
