ZSCHIMMER & SCHWARZ extends development possibilities

Now ZSCHIMMER & SCHWARZ has developed a laboratory test which enables the team to have an indication of the performance of spin finishes for technical yarns in this sector. First of all the premium preactivator FASAVIN TC12 is added to the yarn and then a secondary dip is applied. Then the rubber and fibre are vulcanized by a small vulcanizing machine and the adhesion is measured in lab. Thus the testing cycle has been shortened significantly which allows more products to be tested in the same time at much lower cost.

The past has shown that not only focusing on the product alone is sufficient to develop new spin finishes. The focus has to be set on the whole production chain, even when developing a spin finish the whole value-added chain has to be considered.
