The Southern India Mills' Association & their members have decided to reduce the cotton yarn prices for all counts by Rs.5/- per Kg. ll counts by Rs.5/- per Kg.
While welcoming the decision of SIMA members, Shri.A.Sakthivel, President said as the level of hike in yarn prices has been high, the reduction of Rs.5/- per Kg. is insufficient and therefore, he has appealed to SIMA to advise their members for a reduction of additionally Rs.5/- per Kg., (totally Rs.10/- per Kg.) in the best interest of whole textile industry and also have win-win situation in the business.
In line with this, Shri.Sakthivel has also requested TASMA, Dindigul to advise their members to reduce the yarn prices by Rs.10/- per Kg. for all counts after considering the long business relations being maintained among the sectors.
Shri.Sakthivel hoped his appeal would be considered by both SIMA and TASMA.
