India's trade centre to organize expos in Sharjah

The country-specific trade centre of India will start functioning in Sharjah from October 2010 and in November 2010 it will organize its foremost industry specific exhibition.
This first industry specific exhibition of the India Trade and Exhibition Centre M.E. (ITEC) will be focusing on the textile sector. ITEC will be a one-stop-shop for Indian businessmen and SMEs, which will assist them to explore potential markets and opportunities in the UAE, Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) nations, Middle East and North African region.
Starting with the month of November 2010, ITEC will organize exhibitions every month till June next year. While the exhibition in December 2010 will focus on tourism, the one in January 2011 will concentrate on real estate, following which, February will cater to health, education expo will be in March, gems and jewelry will be in April, handicrafts in May and agricultural and processed food will be organized in June.
The exhibitors who will showcase their products in these exhibitions will be organized through the Export Promotion Councils.
