Taiwanese firms bag $766 mn worth orders from China

Recently as a delegation of 14 companies from Fujian province in China visited Taiwan to attend a buyer's meet organized by Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), orders were placed amounting to US $766 million with Taiwan, said TAITRA officials.
It was further stated that the delegation was headed by Zhang Qiu, Deputy Director of the Fujian Provincial Department of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation.
This delegation's visit was made prior to the visit of a bigger delegation, comprising of about 2,000 Fujian delegates, who are visiting Taiwan from May 5 - 10. These 2,000 Fujian delegates were headed by the Fujian Provincial Governor, Huang Xiaojing.
According to TAITRA officials, the delegation's orders comprised of goods like, agricultural products, textile and chemical materials, machinery parts as also LED and flat panel-related electronics.
The delegation in consideration will altogether conduct 56 meetings with 22 companies from Taiwan which include Formosa Plastics Group, Shinkong Synthetic Fibers Corporation, and Chimei Innolux Corporation.
