Paraxylene prices fell down further by US $10 / ton and hovered in the range of $1025 – 1030 / ton in S E Asian market. Same price fall has been noticed in F E Asian PX market as well, which traded in the range of $1025 – 1030 / ton.
Weak upstream and fluctuations in the financial market made PTA frail. PTA in S E Asian and F E Asian market was assessed at around $925 / ton and $935 / ton, respectively.
In S E Asian ethylene market price was in the range of $1250 – 1255 / ton, while in Korean and Japanese ethylene market the closing price stood stable at around $1300 – 1310 / ton.
After yesterday's slight improvement in MEG market, it again plunged down to between $820 – 825 / ton in S E Asian market. In Chinese domestic market price was in the range of RMB 6900 – 7000 / ton.
