PX & PTA prices rebound. Ethylene falls further

PX prices in the Asian market bounced back to US $917 / ton. In Korean market it was quoted at around $915-920 / ton; while goods from Taiwanese ports were around $930 / ton. In Rotterdam, price was $917 / ton while in US market it was around $910 / ton.
PTA prices too bounced back, in Asian market in tandem with upstream. Initially offered price surged to $845-850 / ton. Korean cargoes were still traded around $845-855 / ton. In Chinese spot market, prices bounced to level of RMB 7,300 / ton.
Ethylene prices however went down further in N E Asian markets to close at $1,025 / ton. In S E Asia, the prices too reduced by $60 / ton to $1,015-1,020 / ton. In European market ethylene price was in the range of $1,120-1,125 / ton.
MEG prices remained unchanged. Experts believed that very soon it may follow the path of upstream in tandem with allied polyester raw material. Current price hovered in the range of $740-745 / ton.
