According to officials, Wisconsin automotive supplier is hunting for a location in Columbus with an intention to establish a plant there, which is expected to give rise to around 240 new vacancies.

Joe Higgins, CEO of Columbus-Lowndes Development Link said that, Janesville Acoustics would now be positioned at the building off Mississippi Highway 69 that was previously used by American Non-wovens. He stated that an official announcement to this effect will be made later on.

The company website for Janesville Acoustics states that, the company based in Milwaukee besides being the largest producer of automotive decorative trim and moulded fibre products the world over, is also one of the global leaders producing acoustical and thermal fibre insulation.
