Ltd. of Seoul, Korea, under which J2LFA will be the sole distributor of the SmartSilver antimicrobial performance brand to the Korean textile and industrial markets. J2LFA is a highly respected manufacturer of a broad assortment of natural and synthetic performance yarns including organic cottons and other eco-friendly products.

“SmartSilver is economical and highly effective in the wide variety of textile applications,” says J2LFA CEO Lee Woo Bok. “SmartSilver is exceptionally versatile and works with both natural and synthetic fibers and fabrics without changing the way those fabrics look, feel, or perform. Plus SmartSilver is an environmentally responsible choice that supports our own commitment to sustainable products that are conscientiously made.”

SmartSilver antimicrobial additives are available in a range of integration-ready formulations that provide highly durable, effective protection against bacteria and the odors and material degradation these microbes can cause. SmartSilver antimicrobial additives are approved by Oeko-Tex® as free from harmful levels of more than 100 substances believed to be hazardous to human health. The additives are also US EPA registered.

In addition to targeting the athletic performance apparel sector, J2LFA will market its SmartSilver enhanced yarns to the workwear, safety apparel, and hosiery markets. The company will also be developing SmartSilver textile applications for medical wet wipes, feminine hygiene products, and home furnishings.

“Collaborating with J2LFA will rapidly establish SmartSilver as the antimicrobial technology of choice in Korea,” says Mr. Timothy Skedzuhn, VP Textile Business Unit, NanoHorizons Inc. “J2LFA's proven technical expertise and reputation for manufacturing outstanding yarns will make them a strong partner in the critical Korean market.”
