The trade delegation of Textile New Zealand, comprising seven companies, has returned from Moscow earlier this week with confidence over the future of wool trade with Russia.
Though, the textile industry in Russia is currently in a state of disarray, there is a huge potential for high-quality, valued-added woolen products stated Elizabeth Tennet, Chief Executive Textile NZ.
She further said that, Russia is interested in producing its own carpets, rugs and blankets. Also, an emerging middle-class segment of Russia seeks high-quality woolen goods, she added.
