The future of the Ballarat firm, Hilton Fabrics, turns in to a matter of concern for the Textile, Clothing and Footwear Union.

While members of the Union are hopeful that the firm will revive from its chaotic past few months, the 40-worker's firm was up for sale in April. Merely, three weeks back, a relative of the firm's former owner purchased the firm.

As per Union members, the new owner has promised to take over the pending liabilities of the workers. More so, the Union too wants that, the company is back on track.

Experts opine that, owing to availability of surplus amount of successful textile businesses still functional in the country, Hilton had all the opportunity to be one those successful firms.

The Union is optimistic about the firm getting reviving itself and getting back in to business. Although, workers have been assured about their liabilities and dues, union feels that Hilton is still in a mess.

But the workers are putting in every effort to ensure they can fight it out till the last breath. Nervousness and concerns for Hilton's future continues to linger upon it.
