Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), which is rated amongst the premier leather products, design and retail institution in the world is leaving no stone unturned as far as rendering the best services to the industry is concerned.
In this regard, to consolidate entire training process for undertaking skilling and re-skilling, the staffs of FDDI are undergoing intensive training programme at various levels in design faculty.
"Since India has become the hub for design outsourcing and for foreign corporates and MNCs who are seeking help of Indian designers to execute quality goods it becomes imperative for FDDI, being a design institution, to upgrade the skills of its employees." Mr. Rajeev Lakhara, IRS, Managing Director, FDDI.
The training programme which has commenced from 23rd June 2010 is of 3 weeks duration and is aimed primarily towards the design faculty and for others associated with design & publication activities.
Elaborating the details, Mr. Rajeev Lakhara, IRS, Managing Director, FDDI, said “Since India has become the hub for design outsourcing and for foreign corporates and MNCs who are seeking help of Indian designers to execute quality goods it becomes imperative for FDDI, being a design institution, to upgrade the skills of its employees.”
The CAD Department and Leather Goods & Accessory Design Department has commenced the short-term training programme in Computer Applications (Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop).
“The FDDI has geared-up to make employees attend the training programme, to keep them abreast of the changing business environment and competition”, added Mr. Lakhara.
Steadily growing from strength to strength, FDDI has indeed come a long way, be it in terms of its number of programmes, establishment of new campus at Rae Bareli, Chennai, Kolkata, Chhindwara & Rohtak, handling of various projects, skills and utilities, recognition from the industry, or its role in nation building.
The FDDI has been riding on a sound reputation in the corporate sector too. It is the faculty, placement options, unique teaching methods, various services offered to the industries and credibility that form its USP.
