CPL trends stable. Nylon filament yarn down

In Chinese market, caprolactam (CPL) prices remained stable around RMB 19,150 / ton. In order to stabilize the CPL market, Sinopec has nominated July contract price at RMB 20,600 / ton, an improvement from the June settlement.
In Chinese market, nylon chip prices remained stable around RMB 22,100. In Asian market also, slowing buying activities and a sliding feedstock market, kept chip prices under downward pressure.
With a slight downfall in nylon filament yarn prices, new prices of POY, FDY and DTY assessed around RMB 25,100 / ton, RMB 26,000 / ton and RMB 28,300 / ton respectively.
With slowing demand and increasing inventory pressure, nylon textile grade filament producers and nylon industrial yarn producers have started to cut production rates.
