The global warming of the earth due to excessive emission of carbon dioxide is adversely affecting the ecosystem causing acute stress on mammals, fish, birds, trees and plant life. This also affects the life patterns as the rise in temperature that causes shift in wind and rainfall patterns alongwith changes in soil and water chemistry and pose a grave threat to our environment. Hence, there is the need of the three R's i.e. reuse, reduce and recycle.
“Students are in the best position to impact the future of our environment by developing green behaviours that become lifelong habits,” added Mr. Lakhara.
The initiative also set an example for other sections of the society, to reduce its effect on climate change.
On this occasion, saplings were planted by the Managing Director, the Secretary, the Executive Director, FDDI. They also appreciated the commitment of FDDI's staff and students for their concern towards the environment.
