Textile Expo- Positive experience for Rieter AG

The international exhibition „Textile Products and Economic Forum” was held from 6 to 8 June 2010 in Ashgabat/Turkmenistan, and focused on “Basic Trends of Development of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan“. Rieter was present with its own stand and could welcome many interested visitors. The new Textile Minister, Mrs. Aynabat Babayeva, attended the opening ceremony and toured the exhibition, making a personal visit to the Rieter stand.
Not just one, but three diplomas were awarded to Rieter: Reto Thom (Head Markets Spun Yarn Systems) and Rudolf Meier (Head Sales Area Europe/Africa Spun Yarn Systems)
Turkmenistan is a desert state and borders on Iran, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan and the Caspian Sea. As an aspiring cotton producer, Turkmenistan plans a massive expansion of its textile industry and thereby an increase in yarn production by the year 2020. Rieter wishes to support these aspirations and consequently attributes a great importance to the exhibition. The exhibition proved to be a positive experience for Rieter; on the one hand Rieter was impressed by the modern, fully air-conditioned building and on the other hand was convinced by the perfect organization.
A magnificent ceremony with many national performances and a professional fashion show which presented the accomplishments of the Turkmenian textile industry opened the trade fair. Visitors were daily astonished by further attractions. On the second day, all machine suppliers and institutes had the opportunity to introduce themselves to the Turkmenian textile industry by means of a short presentation.
In the course of the exhibition, Rieter welcomed an audience of about 120 visitors to the Rieter symposium. For approximately three hours, machines and services were presented to the attending representatives of the industry, professors, students and the employees of the Ministry. Rieter's presentation met with great interest, especially the compact spinning technology of the Rieter K 45 ComforSpin machine.
Various competitors were also present at the trade fair. The exhibition drew to an end with the ceremonial handing-over of diplomas for special performances and services. Rieter is proud to have been awarded three diplomas for special performances. Rieter wishes to thank its visitors for the great interest shown and to express its appreciation to the Textile Ministry for the invitation and the excellent organization.
