Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries' (RIL's) exclusive textile brand, Vimal, is intending to add atleast 38 new stores to its retail network this financial year.
Currently the firm has more than 380 stores across India, and they intend to increase the same by around 10 percent during FY-11. As of now, the investment needed for this expansion remains undisclosed.
RIL is planning for more stores in the future, thereby; provide support to their franchisees so as to boost their brand, Vimal.
The firm's production capacity in consumer fabrics is more than 21 million metres per year of which 50 percent is exported.
Vimal exports its products to 50 nations and intends to export to more nations, moving forward. The firm is planning to take the second position in the organized or branded sector and from thereon, move forward.
Just recently, Vimal introduced its new range of anti-microbial suiting fabric DE02, which has the ability to arrest growth of fungi and bacteria to keep apparels odourless in hot and humid conditions.
