Graduate Fashion Week is delighted to announce that it has new sponsorship for 2011 from British premium design-led retailer Karen Millen for the Fashion Portfolio Award. This is of course alongside new title sponsors George at Asda.

In an increasingly competitive market and tough economic climate, Graduate Fashion Week has continued to garner support from the fashion industry to ensure its on-going patronage and development of young British fashion talent.

Date for Diary - Graduate Fashion Week 2011, 5-8 June at Earls Court 2. Gala 2 Fashion & Awards Show on Wednesday, 8 June.

In an increasingly competitive market and tough economic climate, Graduate Fashion Week has continued to garner support from the fashion industry to ensure its on-going patronage and development of young British fashion talent.

“Graduate Fashion Week has always had strong support from both the fashion and creative industries, but in these uncertain times GFW along with many other charities have found it to be a difficult time. We are very fortunate to be working with George at Asda as our new title sponsors. As part of Walmart, the world's biggest company, their involvement has secured GFW's continued existence as the only place in the world to find the faces of the future for the best fashion talent.”June Barker, Managing Director, Graduate Fashion Week.

Continued sponsorship comes from Mulberry, L'Oréal Professionnel, Hammerson, Lifeline IT, Per AQUUM, Own Label and the charity has also secured the backing of British premium design-led retailer Karen Millen.

“Karen Millen is delighted to be supporting the Fashion Portfolio Award at this year's Graduate Fashion Week. Design is at the heart of our business and we are very happy to have this opportunity to support emerging talents.” Gemma Metheringham, Joint MD & Creative Director, Karen Millen

For the eighth year running, L'Oréal Professionnel, the leading manufacturer of professional hair-care and styling products, continues its support of Graduate Fashion Week as official hair sponsor for the 2011 event.

“Hair has always been a hugely important fashion statement and stands equally alongside fashion design in creating a look. L'Oréal Professionnel is thrilled to have this unique opportunity to develop the creative strength of young talent from the hairdressing industry working alongside emerging fashion designers, and to work in partnership with such a dynamic event as Graduate Fashion Week.” Catherine McMahon, Portfolio Accounts Manager - Artistic, PR & Events, L'Oréal Professionnel.

For the second year running, Hammerson, the leading developer, owner-manager of retail destinations and office buildings, is sponsoring the prestigious Fashion Innovation Award.

“Hammerson are delighted to be supporting Graduate Fashion Week for a second year. After seeing at first hand the incredible work of thegraduates showcased at last year's event, we are sure that a number of those designers will be gracing the catwalks of London Fashion Week in years to come, and in turn, our shopping centre portfolio via the many leading high street fashion operators we work with.” Lawrence Hutchings, UK Retail Managing Director.

We also have terrific support from Vogue, Glamour, GQ, Harper's Bazaar, Company, Skinny Cow, Ty Nant and Renault.
