    No-5 cracker of CPC goes off-stream

    China Petrochemical Company (CPC) based in Kaohsiung has taken off-stream its number–5 cracker for maintenance turnaround.

    A CPC company official informed fibre2fashion that the number–5 cracker has been shut down for a turnaround since August 10, 2011.

    He added that the cracker which has a ethylene production capacity of 500,000 tons per year and will resume operations tentatively by mid-September.
