Nylstar launches new generation of EcoDyed yarns

Spanish company Nylstar has launched Meryl Acqua, a next generation EcoDyed yarn with inherent hydrophobic properties and unique gentle texturing process.
“Combining a specially engineered polymer with a multilobal filament cross section, Meryl Acqua ensures the rapid expulsion of water and moisture from fabrics,” a press release from Nylstar said.
“When exercising, wet garments are heavy and uncomfortable to wear in which Meryl Acqua keeps you active by maintaining you dry and comfortable,” it added.
“Meryl Acqua yarns are ideally suited for multiple-stage competition sports such as triathlon where various sporting activities are involved like swimming, cycling, running and performance training,” Nylstar informed.
Nylstar further added that Meryl Acqua has been selected as the official product at the upcoming competition - La Habana Triathlon to be held in February 2016.
According to Nylstar, Meryl Acqua is designed for use on the inside face of garments, and should be combined with a cationic yarn on the outer face.
Meryl Acqua is available in EcoDye Black, EcoDye White, EcoDye Rouge Pink and EcoDye Melange dope dyed colours and will be available from November 2015. (AR)
