The 'Made in Green' label is produced in the form of a license. Since its launch in 2015, the 'Made in Green' licenses have increased to around 230 licenses with license holders in over 30 countries.
Vossen is among the first Austrian 'Made in Green' customers. Other OETI - 'Made in Green' customers are Getzner Textil AG and Amidex Produktions & VertriebsgmbH in Austria and Ozanteks Tekstil San Vetic AS in Turkey.
Vossen has been an OETI customer for almost 25 years. In 1996 OETI certified Vossen according to the Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX® for the first time. In 2015, the STeP by OEKO-TEX® certification followed. With the introduction of the 'Made in Green' by OEKO-TEX® label, the circle is complete.
"It is important for us that the final consumer can really understand where the products are manufactured," said Anita Windt, head of technical product development at Vossen. "We want to ensure that our customers know our products are produced in an environmentally friendly way and under safe and socially responsible working conditions."
"Made in Green by OEKO-TEX® supports our customers in the requirement to show a transparent supply chain with validated data. This allows consumers to make sustainable choices when buying textiles and leather," said Helene Melnitzky, head of ecology at OETI.
